Tino Loessl Zahedi,
International Advisor in Document Security and Identity Management
Overview

Tino Loessl Zahedi began his career working as Commercial Attaché on behalf of three different foreign missions in Germany. Between 1992 and 2002, Tino worked for a world-renowned German currency and security printer, where he acquired extensive expertise in document security, particularly on marketing banknote printing concepts and ID Card and Passport systems in the Middle East and Central Asia. Since 2002, Tino has continued to operate as an independent contractor carrying out innovative work for the industry internationally.

His extensive scope of interest, including neurophysiology and modern industrial design, has helped Tino to develop and patent innovative security solutions in this field. His current work on countering the ability of forgers to utilise simple aluminium foils to simulate complex prismatic light reflections in holograms, has led Tino to develop high-precision laser-generated photo luminescent markings combined with optical light guiding effects. This next-generation security technology will require potential forgers to undertake extremely complex and time-consuming processes to produce one individual forgery and therefore has global market potential for document security.

Tino was educated in the German public school education system (including seven years in Cairo), followed by five years of university education in the USA, where he majored in Business Administration. Tino is fluent in German, English and Persian, can communicate well in Arabic and French and has gained basic language skills in Russian, Greek, Italian and Spanish.
