Geoff Hunt, Head of Investigations
Overview

Geoff is a former senior detective at New Scotland Yard with thirty years experience in the Metropolitan Police Service, almost exclusively in the field of serious and specialist crime investigation and case management at all levels. During his police career, he was consistently chosen to head high profile public interest casework, including the Senator Pinochet Extradition Case 1999/2000, as well as the prosecutions of Jonathan Aitken MP (1998) and Lord Jeffrey Archer (2001), involving allegations of perverting the course of justice.

Throughout his service, Geoff was also extensively involved at an international level with a number of complex and sensitive criminal cases involving the death of British nationals abroad, and both major drug importation and money laundering enquiries.  He was later appointed as a member of the Cabinet Office Working Party on Balkan Crime and was also appointed by the Criminal Cases Review Commission to review sensitive enquiries in Northern Ireland.

After leaving the police at the end of 2004, Geoff worked as a successful Consultant and has since undertaken numerous projects in both the public and private sectors, for UK Government agencies and international corporate clients.

He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Quantico, Virginia, USA and a former Associate Tutor at the national Police Staff College in Bramshill, Hampshire.  He is a fluent French speaker.
