Commercial Security
Overview What we can do

The emergence of computers and the Internet, allied to the globalisation of both business and criminality, has significantly changed the commercial security landscape over the last 30 years. Security is no longer just about protecting physical and financial assets; it is now equally about protecting people, information and virtual assets, such as brand and reputation. There is also an increasing for security measures to attain improved levels of compliance and regulation.

Commercial security is therefore not only the preserve of security professionals. In line with the current increase in threats to people and property, it is everybody's responsibility. At the same time, the need for security to be closely aligned with business objectives has never been more important. Given the pace and complexity of this change, it is almost certain that commercial security will continue to evolve and develop for the foreseeable future.

To meet this fast-changing and challenging security landscape, organisations must take a more holistic approach to their own safety and security. This requires organisations finding an appropriate balance between securing against identified risks to prevent unnecessary costs, and securing to recognised standards. This will require security development and training to occur across a number of levels, from basic levels of security awareness, through specialist training in specific fields, and on to more comprehensive security management development.

  • We provide development and training assistance around safety and security, including security awareness around venues, buildings and critical infrastructure (including transport), the use of security technology (alarms, CCTV etc), developing and implementing operational security plans, emergency preparedness (including business continuity), and health and safety.

  • We provide development and training assistance around personal protection, including personal security awareness, personal and close protection (including residential, workplace and travel protection)
